From First Steps to International Stages

At Manchester Academy of Gymnastics, children can begin with confidence, develop at their own pace and progress through a genuine pathway from recreational gymnastics to regional, national and international competition.

Based in Salford, we provide safe, supportive coaching for preschool children, beginners, developing gymnasts, competitive athletes and adults.

Whether your child wants to have fun, make friends, build confidence or pursue performance gymnastics, MAG provides the right place to begin and the opportunity to progress.

A Place to Learn, Belong and Progress

MAG is a registered charity created to expand access to gymnastics and healthy recreation across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Our academy brings community participation and performance ambition together. Qualified coaches support gymnasts at every stage—from playful early movement and beginner classes to advanced Men’s and Women’s Artistic pathways.

Every gymnast’s goal may be different. Our responsibility is to help each person feel supported, challenged and proud of their progress.

Why Families Choose MAG

  • A Pathway for Every Ambition: Begin for fun, develop new skills or progress towards competitive gymnastics within one academy.
  • Qualified, Experienced Coaching: Learn in an environment led by British Gymnastics-qualified coaches with recreational and high-performance expertise.
  • Proven Performance: MAG gymnasts have achieved success at regional, national and international level, including English and British titles and European medals.
  • Community and Welfare: We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where gymnasts can build confidence, resilience and lasting friendships.

More Than Gymnastics

Gymnastics develops strength, coordination and technical skill—but its impact can reach far beyond the apparatus.

It teaches people to keep trying, respond to setbacks, trust their preparation and recognise the value of steady progress.

At MAG, we want every gymnast to feel known, supported and part of something positive, whether they attend for recreation, personal development or high-performance training.
